Like most Londoners, I had absolutely no idea what was hiding inside 100 Kellogg Lane. I went in expecting a building and came out wondering whether I had accidentally entered a small indoor city.
There is The Factory trampoline park, indoor mini putt, bowling, the Children’s Museum, two breweries, restaurants, offices, boardrooms, ballrooms and enough going on that you could easily lose track of time. They also regularly host events, so there’s always something new happening. And then, just when I thought it could not possibly get better, I found a Shaw’s Ice Cream.

Apparently, I don't have to drive to Port Stanley for my Shaw’s fix anymore. This may be the most important discovery of the entire visit! Of course, no visit would be complete without stopping for a photo with the giant Kellogg’s rooster!

✨ House of Hope saved by generous $1.3M donation

The Gist: London Cares’ House of Hope facility was slated to close this November, but an amazing gift of up to $1.3 million from the Health and Homelessness Fund for Change is keeping its doors open until March 2027. Mayor Josh Morgan joined London Community Foundation and London Cares at city hall to announce the funding, which ensures 45 vulnerable residents won't be forced back onto the streets.
Why It Matters: It gives London Cares the precious time they need to safely transition everyone, preventing a heartbreaking situation and keeping our most vulnerable neighbors supported. The extra time is crucial, especially as the city expects more permanent supportive housing spaces to finish construction this November.
🍎 Free snack bins are popping up across London
The Gist: Investing in Children is stocking free snack bins at 53 locations across London each week for eight weeks. Families can find apples, cucumbers, granola bars and other easy snacks at summer camps, libraries, community centres and public pools.
Why It Matters: Summer can be especially hard for families who rely on school-day food programs. Nearly one in three London households is experiencing food insecurity, and this program helps make sure kids can still grab something to eat while they’re out enjoying summer. Snack Stop began with just eight bins in 2018 and handed out 24,235 snacks last year.
